INTI FILM FESTIVAL
ABOUT THE EVENT
INTI Film Festival (IFF) is a short film competition organized by School of Business and Communication (SBC), INTI International College Subang (IICS). Previously known as Project 24- Short Film Competition, this year SBC is revamping the initiative/competition to a bigger scale where the participation is opened to other higher education institutions, consisting both Private and Public University.
1.0 INTI Film Festival- The Short Film Competition
The competition is open from 1/7/2019 to 30/09/2019, where participants/students can submit their short film to the official INTI Film Festival website.
This short film competition challenges students to produce short film of not more than 15 minutes which revolves around a selected theme of the event. The selected theme for the event this year is: Empowering Youth
The quota participants are approximately 30 teams. No registration fee is imposed on the participants.
All videos which have been submitted onto the official INTI Film Festival website, will be screened and judged by Prominent Judges /Industry Partners and 10 shortlisted short film will be screened during the Gala Dinner/ Award Presentation which will be taking place on Thursday, 24th October 2019 at INTI Auditorium from 8 pm till 10 pm (Arrival of participant - 7pm). The shortlisted teams will be invited to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony / Gala Night. An entrance fee of RM20 will be charged to the audience who would like to attend the event.
2.0 INTI Film Festival- The Festival and Award Ceremony
The IFF will kick off on 17.10.2019 with a film panel discussion whereby Malaysian Filmmakers will be having an intellectual discourse and dialogue session with students on challenges and/or contemporaneous issue faced by filmmakers within the local film landscape/industry as well as incorporating the IFF theme, ‘Empowering Youth’ within the discourse. The proposed topic is - Movies in the Era of Digital Transformation: Challenges and Potential.
This forum also acts as a platform to educate students on developing quality content and consequently, to inspire budding film makers. On the following day (18.10.2019), a film workshop will be conducted by our Industry Partners with the main objective is to educate students on the literacy of pre and postfilm production. Revolving around the theme of " Empowering Youth", DMCN students’ portfolios and work including exhibition from students enrolled in photography course , screen production and news writing will also be showcased throughout the 2-day event.

The highlight of the IFF will be the Award Ceremony which will be held on Thursday, 24.10.2019. The event will feature the screening of the selected 10 Best Short Films, Special Performance, and the award ceremony.
All participants are responsible for their own safety, personal belongings and financial expenses, which consist of filming budget, accommodation, transportation and personal expenses.
3.0 INTI Film Festival- Corporate Social Responsibility

This initiative is a CSR initiative for IICS, whereby all proceeds of the award ceremony ticket sale will be donated to Global Peace Foundation; an NGO based in Malaysia. It aims to empower young Malaysians by providing them various platforms and opportunities to help them scale, sustain and multiple in various fields.
